Hello, welcome to our Cornish pages.  We are delighted to have enrolled for the Go Cornish Bronze Award.

At the beginning of the summer term 2026, we enrolled for the Go Cornish award as part of our topic Cornwall My Home.  The children have taken the challenge of using Cornish around the school in their stride.  Children and staff use every day greetings as an important part of our commitment to promoting the Cornish language at school.

You will notice the use of Cornish on signage around school and in some of the communication we send to our stakeholders.

This term the whole school have been taught the vocabulary for greetings and numbers in assembly which is then reinforced through incidental use in the classroom.  All 3 classes encorportated Cornish into their signage and menus for their Cornish Cafes and encouraged their customers to converse in Cornish with them.  Class 1 have learnt to sing Cornwall My Home in Cornish and the sign language club can sign along.

We are having a lot of fun learning Cornish, if you would like to learn new skills take a look at the Go Cornish Website.  Go Cornish - Having fun with the Cornish language
