Music

" I would teach children music, physics and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning"  Plato

At Trythall Primary School we teach a broad and balanced curriculum.  Our music curriculum offers children a wide range of musical experiences, to inspire them and teach them about music.  Music is based on the National Curriculum outcomes, and we have specialist music teachers who come in to school to support all staff with teaching music.

Using clear sequences of learning, lessons are planned to develop children's knowledge, skills and understanding in the subject.  We also plan for the vocabulary that children will learn throughout a topic, and any cross curricular links that can be made.
