Ms Nicky Morris
Headteacher, SENCO, Designated Teacher, DSL
I joined the school in September 2025, fulfilling a lifelong dream to live and work in Cornwall. Trythall was the school that tempted me to make the leap and move away from my family, friends and previous school in the Midlands. There is something special about Trythall from the moment you enter the rugged grounds, to meeting the staff and children. It can only be described as Ubuntu - "I am because we are." which is fostered in all members of the school. I am passionate about promoting children's curiosity through allowing them to lead their learning and following their curiosity to know and remember more. I firmly believe that children learn more when they are involved and the curriculum at Trythall is embedded in active, purposeful learning. I look forward to working with you.

Ms Emma Cape
Deputy DSL, Class 1 teacher, English and RE Lead
I joined Trythall in 2010 as an experienced teacher and it has been my home ever since. Over the years I’ve taught every year group from Reception to Year 6, collecting many treasured memories along the way — with plenty more still to come. I genuinely believe Trythall is a remarkable place to learn. It’s a privilege to be part of such a warm, caring and close‑knit community of colleagues, children and parents. I feel incredibly fortunate to come to work each day inspired by the curiosity, determination and independence of our pupils. My passion lies in providing a high‑quality education that celebrates each child as an individual and makes full use of the wonderful local environment we’re lucky enough to call home.

Ms Claire Stephens
Class 2 Teacher
I joined Trythall in 2016 as a long term supply teacher and I never left, being made a permanent member of staff in 2018. Initially, I worked in Class 1 then, as a new challenge, made the move to Class 2. Trythall is a very special place and I am very fortunate to work with such inspiring and enthusiastic children and adults. I love the variety that school life brings where every day is different and feel honoured to support the children as they learn and grow.

My name is Georgia, and I am the secretary here at Trythall. I have been fortunate to enjoy many roles since first joining the school in 2016, beginning in the classroom and now working in the office.
I love being at the heart of the school community and having the privilege of witnessing each child’s journey, while supporting them and their families from preschool through to their transition to secondary school.
Trythall is unique in so many ways, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a brilliant and inspiring team of staff, alongside our wonderful families.

Ms Virg Davies
HLTA, Teaching Partner, Thrive Practitioner and Forest School Lead
I joined Trythall in 2014 after 8 years as Manager and SENCO of a local nursery and now I work with all ages from 2-11. I am inspired by helping all children enjoy and appreciate their connectedness to each other and to the natural world - in other words, Ubuntu. I am happiest when the children are happy - usually when getting muddy in the woods, on the local moors, by the sea or in our beautiful school grounds.
