Week beginning 30th September

7th October 2013

This Weeks News:

Class 1

The week started with a Class 1 trip to Newquay zoo. There was a lovely workshop put on by zoo staff in which we met a snake and a lovely hissing cockroach. The children learned a lot about animals adaptions and how animals are classified.

They have made a calendar of what needs to be planted when in the polytunnel and when to harvest their organic produce. Nat and Dan's veggie box scheme is giving the children further ideas about what can be achieved. They have also prepared scale maps of the polytunnel and growing area and will use them to plan out the growing and outdoor classroom areas.

On Friday we  nipped down to Mounts Bay for a French lesson. This will take place every two weeks with future lessons at Trythall. The staff were very impressed with the children's French skills and will look forward to taking them further over the Autumn term.

Effort band went to Kit- well done!

Class2

Back at school ( in drier circumstances) they enjoyed putting on their puppet show and finishing their beautiful African batiques.

Effort band went to Theo for a great start at the school.
