9th December 2013

On monday 2nd december, ten children from Trythall School had the opportunity to go to Humphrey Davey School to watch the Pearl of Africa. These are a group of african dancers who perform singing and dancing and producing great music on instruments.  The children got to join in with the dancing, singing, and playing drums it was a joyous occasion.  At the end of the day the children got to perform a show to the parents which was fantastic, the children thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Tueday 3rd december children were making a number of christmas items for around the school.  This consisted of twiggy stars with different decorations, handprint reindeers, paper stars, cut out coloured elves with photographs of the children stuck onto the elf face, and to finish off the day baking some delicious pasties and biscuits for all to enjoy.

Friday was another productive day with Oakgrove College coming to the school to develop further skills and knowledge to the children.  This involved digging out weeds and grasses in the poly tunnel, for the new path and outdoor classroom that is being built. Again a great day for the children to experience being out doors a great day by all who took part.
